# Sign-off log · Library staff assistant

**Rule the log enforces.** An item closes only when three things are on record: an end-to-end test
against the live system, a demonstration with real data, and explicit approval. Until all three are
present the status is *built, awaiting sign-off*. The spec stays the authority; this log is reconciled
against each spec's own sign-off section, not its header.
