# Case-study template — eight fields, fixed

*The template every case study on this site follows, in this order.*

1. **Context and constraint.** Sector, regulation, scale, what could not be changed.
2. **Problem.** The user or business pain, with the number that proved it.
3. **My role.** What I owned and who I worked with, by role only.
4. **Decision and trade-off.** The call made, the option rejected, why.
5. **What shipped.** Three to five action lines, Problem → Action → Result.
6. **Measured result.** Number, time window, source. `[TBD]` where none exists, stated as such.
7. **What was deliberately not built.** And the one condition that would flip the decision.
8. **Assets.** Sanitised extracts, repos, live tools, writing. Never internal images.

**Diagram rule.** Wherever a mechanism, pipeline, decision flow or cause-and-fix sequence is
explained, a small flow or block diagram: one idea per diagram, figures only where measured.

**Public-summary form** (for a project not yet cleared): four sentences, no non-public numbers, no
brand, no person: what it is · what I owned · what it proved · status.
