Sign-off log · Library staff assistant

Specimen. Real structure, dummy content: a fictional city-library staff assistant. Every name, date and number is invented and marked †. None is taken from a real project.

The decision it makes: What is built but not yet closed, and what is outstanding on each.

Where it sits: Sign off · owner role: session · updated: whenever an item is signed off, demoed or lands as built-awaiting.

Specimen: real structure, dummy content. The product, the items and every date on this page are invented to show how the log is kept. † marks a dummy value.

Rule the log enforces. An item closes only when three things are on record: an end-to-end test against the live system, a demonstration with real data, and explicit approval. Until all three are present the status is built, awaiting sign-off. The spec stays the authority; this log is reconciled against each spec's own sign-off section, not its header.

Open: awaiting sign-off and/or demo

What is real here: three things on record before anything closes, revise as a status, scope-only specs kept visible with the condition that reopens them, and hygiene flags for a document that has drifted from the work. Everything inside the tables is invented.
